SEATTLE, WA (May 12, 2011)—The Master Builders Association of
King and Snohomish Counties announced today that Parr Lumber
is this year’s presenting sponsor of the 2011 Rampathon, one of the
association’s largest charitable efforts.
The 2011 Rampathon will mark the 18th annual event. Rampathon is a
project of the Master Builders Care Foundation, a philanthropic arm of
the Master Builders Association that helps end local homeless epidemic
by applying the specialized skills of local building professionals to
benefit the community. Saturday, May 14, 2011 Association members
and nearly 300 volunteers will build wheelchair-access ramps for lowincome
King and Snohomish County residents.
“We’re thrilled to have Parr Lumber presenting this year’s Rampathon,”
said Jay Schupack, Master Builders Care Foundation Executive Director.
“Parr Lumber has been a valuable supporter of Master Builders Care
Foundation and an exceptional community partner.”
Since 1993, more than 350 ramps will have been constructed during
Rampathon events. This year 17 families will have custom ramps built
on their home sites
