Arauco of Chile announced to Chinese customers that its bleached radiata pine (BKP) pulp price would increase $10/tonne, effective with April shipments, industry contacts told RISI.
Arauco will increase its BKP price to $645 net CFR with the $10/tonne increase. The firm had announced flat prices at $650 net CFR on March business, but sources said bleached softwood kraft (BSK) price erosion hit all key grades of BSK, forcing the firm to lower its March price.
